Disturbed

We had our first session of training classes for our foster parent license on Saturday. What is wrong with these parents? I left feeling disgusted, angry, sad and worried. Can we do this? Can we handle a child or two that has this background? Fostering aside, the children we hope to adopt are coming out of the foster system. They have this same atrocious past. We knew that going in, but Saturday forced us to think about it more. We still feel confident this is the direction the Lord is sending us. We are trusting in His plan.

P.S. I had nightmares last night about child abuse. Just what I need....
